Council promotes camping

The Prairielands Council of the Boy Scouts of America will host an outdoor sports activity for all Cub Scouts and their guests Sunday at Camp Robert Drake near Oakwood.
The Smilin’ Pumpkin Outdoor Sports Fest and be from 1-4 p.m. The event will feature archery, rock-skipping, fishing, bicycling and carnival sports games.
Scouts are encouraged to invite a friends, siblings and family members to discover the opportunities in Scouting.
Any participating youth, ages 5 to 17, will pay a $6 registration fee.
